SIP 487 Request Terminated
Request Terminated: the INVITE was cancelled with a CANCEL before anyone answered. This is how an unanswered call that the caller gives up on ends.
- Name
- Request Terminated
- Class
- 4xx · Client error
- Defined in
- RFC 3261
When it happens
- The caller hung up while it was ringing.
- A ring group or forking proxy cancels the other phones once one answers.
- A timeout on the PBX cancelled the attempt.
What to check
- Normal in most cases. If calls are cancelled too early, check the ring timeout on the PBX or trunk.
