How to join with the QR code
- iPhone and iPad (iOS 11+): open the Camera, point it at the code and tap the "Join network" banner.
- Android (10+): the camera or Google Lens; many phones have a scanner right in the Wi-Fi settings, the QR icon next to "Add network".
What is inside the code
A plain string like WIFI:T:WPA;S:name;P:password;;. Special characters \ ; , : " in the name and password are escaped with a backslash; the generator does it for you. WPA3 uses the same WPA type; the phone picks the method itself.
Tips
Make a separate guest network for visitors: its password is fine on the wall and guests will not see your devices. Our MikroTik generator sets one up with a single checkbox.
