What it means
A REGISTER or INVITE came for a user that does not exist in the directory for that domain.
Why it happens
- Scanners trying common extensions (1000, 100, 101).
- The phone uses the IP as domain while users are defined under a domain name (or the other way round).
- The user XML was not loaded (reloadxml missing).
How to fix it
- Repeated from foreign IPs: block with fail2ban (freeswitch filter) or firewall.
- Make the phone’s domain/realm match the directory domain.
- reloadxml after adding users; check with user_exists id 1000 domain.
