What it means
The PPPoE server of your ISP rejected the username or password.
Why it happens
- Typo in the login or password (case matters).
- The ISP binds the session to a MAC address and you replaced the router.
- An old session is still active on the ISP side.
How to fix it
- Re-enter user and password on the PPPoE client.
- Clone the old router’s MAC on ether1 or ask the ISP to reset the binding.
- Wait a few minutes or ask the ISP to drop the stale session.
