ESPHome config generator

Pick a board (ESP32, ESP32-C3, ESP32-S3, D1 mini) and parts (DHT22, BME280, DS18B20, PIR, LD2410, relay) and get a ready ESPHome YAML with an API encryption key, OTA password and fallback hotspot.

What is connected
ESPHome config

The API key and passwords are generated in your browser and never sent anywhere. Keep them: Home Assistant asks for the key when it finds the device.

How to flash it

  1. Install the ESPHome add-on (Settings → Add-ons) or ESPHome Device Builder in Docker.
  2. In ESPHome open Secrets and add your network’s wifi_ssid and wifi_password.
  3. New device → Continue → replace the generated config with the one above, Save → Install. The first time over USB (Plug into this computer, in Chrome or Edge); after that updates go over Wi-Fi.
  4. Home Assistant finds the device: Settings → Devices → Discovered → ESPHome; enter the encryption key from the config.

Free pins: ESP32 pinout, ESP8266. If the device is not found or you see “Error resolving IP address”, see the error explained. Check automation YAML: YAML checker.
