What to check
- Left plays on the right: speakers swapped or headphones worn backwards (L is the left ear).
- The 60 Hz bass is barely audible on laptop and phone speakers, which is normal; headphones and speakers with a subwoofer should play it.
- On the sweep most adults stop hearing around 14–17 kHz: that is age, not the headphones.
